About Me

Hi everyone, I'm Masoume Iranmanesh, a 42-year-old chess enthusiast. My passion for the game began at a young age, watching my siblings play in our desert hometown of Kerman. Intrigued, my brother took me under his wing, teaching me the intricacies of the board. Years of friendly competition followed, where I slowly honed my skills, eventually turning the tables and claiming victories. My chess journey continued in middle school, where I joined the team. After a short hiatus, fate intervened during my university days. A bulletin board calling for chess players sparked my curiosity, leading me to an audition that changed my life. Impressed by my play, the coach welcomed me onto the path that would forever intertwine with chess. Since then, chess has become more than just a game; it's a source of constant learning, growth, and meaningful connections. The opportunities and experiences this world has brought me continue to fuel my passion for both playing and teaching this remarkable game.

Teaching Method

I conduct my online chess classes via Skype or Google Meet, utilizing a shared chessboard for interactive learning. As a child advocate, my top priority is to foster a happy and enjoyable learning environment. This sparks their interest and encourages them to stick with the game. While my primary sources are university textbooks and pamphlets, I creatively incorporate poems and stories to make learning fun and engaging. Although instruction is primarily in Farsi, I also use simple English chess terms to support children who might not speak Farsi fluently.
