About Me

My name is Maryam Behboudifam, and I have been teaching English for around 16 years. Over the years, I have worked with learners of different ages and proficiency levels, from preschool children and teenagers to adults and candidates preparing for international language exams. My first serious teaching experience was when I unexpectedly stepped in as a school’s English teacher. It was a challenging but transformative experience that taught me an important lesson: meaningful learning happens when there is trust, connection, and a sense of safety between the teacher and the learner. Since then, I have aimed to create classes that are both friendly and purposeful—an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, being themselves, and making progress. For me, teaching is more than just a profession; it is something I have continued to do with genuine passion throughout the years. In 2025, I obtained the internationally recognized CELTA certificate from ITI Istanbul. I also hold a B.A. in Sociology from Allameh Tabataba’i University, a B.A. in English Language from Islamic Azad University, and an M.A. in International Business Management from Nişantaşı University in Istanbul. I have been teaching online through various educational platforms for many years. Alongside modern teaching methods, I also use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Canva AI to design and enrich the learning experience. I would be delighted to work with you and make your language-learning journey effective, practical, and enjoyable.

Teaching Method

I do not follow a one-size-fits-all teaching method. Instead, I tailor each lesson to the student’s age, proficiency level, goals, and learning style. My classes engage all four language skills—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—with a particular focus on real-life communication and developing the ability to express oneself fluently and confidently. I use a variety of coursebooks, authentic materials, games, visual resources, digital tools, and, when appropriate, AI-powered tools. My goal is to make every lesson both practical and purposeful while creating a safe, engaging, and enjoyable learning environment.
