Introduction to High School Programs in Canada

 In the IB program, students must study six different subjects at various levels and complete specific projects and exams. For French Immersion, students need to have completed at least 600 hours of French language instruction.

 Canadian schools assign grades based on the student's age, even if they haven’t completed certain levels in their home country. Schools offer counseling and specialized teachers to help non-English-speaking students.

Importance of Extracurricular Activities:

Sports, arts, and social activities are essential for student development. Schools offer numerous opportunities for joining sports teams, arts clubs, and social projects. These activities not only help improve individual skills but also foster better social interactions.

Parents should select their child’s school based on their child's needs, considering both academic and extracurricular programs. Some schools, especially those with specialized programs like IB or Arts, may have spots available for students outside their boundaries. For that, submitting an Out of Boundary Request is required.

اهمیت فعالیت‌های فوق‌برنامه

فعالیت‌های ورزشی، هنری و اجتماعی به‌عنوان بخش مهمی از رشد دانش‌آموزان مطرح شدند. مدارس فرصت‌های زیادی برای شرکت در تیم‌های ورزشی و پروژه‌های اجتماعی فراهم می‌کنند که علاوه بر تقویت مهارت‌های فردی، باعث ایجاد تعامل اجتماعی بهتر می‌شود.

والدین باید با توجه به منطقه سکونت خود، مدرسه‌ای را انتخاب کنند که برنامه‌های تحصیلی و فوق‌برنامه متناسب با نیازهای فرزندشان داشته باشد. البته برخی مدارس که ظرفیت خالی دارند می‌توانند از خارج از محدوده‌ی خود نیز دانش‌آموزان را بپذیرند. برای این کار والدین باید فرمهای Out of Boundray Request را به مدرسه بفرستند.
