About Me

I am Alireza Azadbakht, born in 1986. Since childhood, I was exposed to classical music through cassette tapes played at home, which fostered my interest in classical music and piano playing. Encouraged by my parents, I began learning music at the age of 7 with my father using a keyboard. I learned notes and simple classical pieces, and during elementary school, I performed the pieces I had learned on the keyboard at school events. Seeing my passion, my father bought me a piano after a while, and I started learning piano seriously at the age of 15 from prominent piano teachers in the country. I first started learning piano with Mr. Gagik Babayan and stayed with him for about 5 years. Then, I continued for about 4 years with the prominent Tajikistani pianist Ms. Dilbar Hakim-ova. After these years, I entered the University of Music and during my studies, I benefited from the teachings of professors such as Reza Elahiyan, Alireza Daryaee, and Tamara Dolidze (a prominent Georgian pianist). I finished my undergraduate thesis under the supervision of Professor Alireza Daryaee. In my master's degree, I again benefited from the presence of Professor Gagik Babayan and completed the entire course and my master's thesis under his supervision. During all these years, I also benefited from the guidance of the prominent Iranian pianist, Professor Rafael Minassian.

Teaching Method

I use various teaching methods and books depending on the age, interest, and talent of the student. For beginners who have never had piano lessons before, I start with the John Thompson book for ages 5-12, which is the simplest teaching method and is designed for children. For ages 12 and up, I use the Alfred book, which, based on my personal experience, is one of the best piano teaching methods. It allows for faster progress for the student, is not hard, and keeps the student more interested.
