About Me
I’m Anousha Mahdian, and chess is much more than just a game to me. Chess has taught me to think carefully, learn from my mistakes, and always look for new possibilities. What I enjoy most about chess is the combination of logic and creativity, which is also what makes teaching it so rewarding for me. I believe students should not simply memorize moves; they should understand the reasoning behind each move and gradually develop the ability to think independently. I strive to create a friendly, supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, because mistakes are an important part of learning. My goal is for every student to improve their skills while also enjoying the game of chess.
Teaching Method
I try to tailor my teaching to each student’s level, needs, and goals. I analyze their games, identify their strengths and weaknesses, and based on that, select suitable games and create a specific training plan for them. For each student, I set both short-term and long-term goals so that their path to improvement is clear and purposeful. Alongside the lessons, I also provide useful files and resources to help them practice more on their own. What matters most to me is that students learn things that genuinely contribute to their improvement. We also study games played by top-level players to work on calculation, opening principles, and developing a deeper understanding of different positions.
