About Me

Greetings! My name is Fatima. My love affair with Othello began many years ago, when the game first entered our household. From that very first match, I was captivated by its charm. Over a decade has passed since that fateful introduction, yet my passion for Othello has only grown stronger. Teaching and playing the game with friends and participating in tournaments have brought me immense joy and valuable lessons. To me, one of Othello's most captivating aspects lies in its deceptively simple rules and the profound complexity they conceal. A child can easily teach their 90-year-old grandfather the basics, while simultaneously striving to master the game to compete with professionals and in federation tournaments. This very beauty and intricacy, hidden within its simplicity, is what draws people of all ages to Othello.

Teaching Method

I share my Othello expertise through screen sharing, puzzle creation, analyzing notable moves from past world championships, and, of course, playing the game together. We'll embark on a journey through the game's beginning, middle, and end, exploring tactics and renowned strategies, not in a rigid sequence but rather adapting to the student's needs and skill level. Our goal is to learn and enjoy Othello together.
