About Me
My name is Hoda, and I have been a Pilates instructor for 11 years. I taught Pilates in person at a specialized Pilates studio in Tehran's Fermanieh neighborhood. For the past two and a half years, due to global circumstances, most of my classes have been held online, with participants from various countries. Pilates harmonizes the mind, body, and breath. This harmony promotes balance, focus, strength, and mental and physical relaxation. An efficient mind and body lead to feelings of happiness and a strengthened immune system. Pilates has opened up new avenues for me on my journey of continuous exploration, self-discovery, and understanding of my mind and body. A notable benefit of Pilates is its ability to noticeably improve overall fitness in a short time. Before starting Pilates, I never had a positive experience starting a new exercise routine. Due to back pain, I was forced to abandon every sport I tried. However, Pilates, by engaging the smallest muscles in the body, has increased my flexibility and strength, allowing me to dedicate most of my time in recent years to teaching and supporting individuals with back, neck, knee, wrist, and other injuries. Additionally, many individuals who pursue other sports professionally find that Pilates' stretching and strengthening exercises enhance their performance.
Teaching Method
My private online classes are 45 minutes long and cater to individuals aged 6 to 75. Based on each individual's self-reported physical and mental state, exercises are planned in three phases: warm-up, workout, and cool-down. I design the exercises using 10 specialized Pilates tools, considering my observations of the individual's performance and assessment of their abilities. Individuals with back, knee, and neck injuries utilize supportive tools such as cushions, towels, and others. Exercises are designed with one or two tools in each session. Tools include a small Pilates ball (mini-ball), a large Pilates ball (Swiss ball), Pilates resistance bands, a Pilates ring, a step, blocks, dumbbells, a stick, a wall, and a mat. All of these tools are readily available at reasonable prices. Since classes are private, each individual has the freedom to choose their tools.
