About Me

Hello, I’m Hossein Dehghani, a Persian teacher for children, and I’m very happy to be part of your child’s journey in learning Persian. What matters most to me is helping children learn Persian in a calm, stress-free environment where they feel comfortable and gradually build a real connection with the language. For many children living outside Iran, Persian may feel difficult or far removed from their everyday lives, and I try to help bridge that gap. My classes are interactive, and I use games, storytelling, and a variety of activities to make learning more engaging. The goal is not for children to simply memorize lessons but to truly understand Persian and be able to use it naturally. Alongside reading and writing, we also work on speaking skills and building confidence, because it’s important for children to feel comfortable and speak Persian with ease and assurance. I always try to create a classroom environment that is friendly, safe, and growth-oriented so children can both learn and enjoy the journey. I’d be happy to welcome your child to my class :)

Teaching Method

My classes are fully interactive and game-based. This means children are not just passive listeners; they actively participate, play, think, and engage in the learning process. The games and activities are designed based on learning psychology principles, not just entertainment. The goal is deep and meaningful learning. We focus on the four main language skills: • Fluent reading with comprehension • Writing ability • Speaking comfortably and without stress • Listening and understanding Examples of classroom activities include: • Vocabulary charades for learning new words • Hangman for spelling practice • Creative chain dictation exercises • Storytelling and themed reading activities • Interactive PowerPoint lessons and online Persian games What matters most to me is that children do not just memorize Persian but truly live it, speak it, tell stories with it, connect through it, and become familiar with Iranian culture.

Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, University of Tehran • Master’s degree in Educational Psychology, University of Tehran • Experience teaching Persian, mathematics, and science privately and in group classes to elementary school students (online and in person) • Experience working with students who have weak academic foundations, academic anxiety, and learning difficulties • Designer of creative educational activities and learning content for children
