About Me

Hello! My name is Mansoureh Lak. I'm 27 years old, and I entered the world of English with love and curiosity when I was just 9. I remember I was always fascinated by discovering new words and listening to different accents. That childhood passion gradually turned into my life path — from choosing my university major to teaching kids and teenagers. I began my academic journey in English Literature, and at the same time, I started gaining part-time experience teaching young learners. After a while, because of my deep interest in teaching, I decided to pursue my master's degree in English Language Teaching (ELT). Over the past few years, I’ve taught in various institutes, both in-person and online, which has given me valuable experience working with diverse learners. When the COVID-19 pandemic started, I took online teaching more seriously and also participated in several TTC (Teacher Training Courses) to enhance my teaching skills. Later on, I decided to step into the international teaching scene. To prepare for that, I completed TEFL and TESOL certification programs, and I also took part in the IELTS teacher Training course offered by IDP Australia. I’ve always loved connecting with people. Being able to help someone learn something gives me an amazing, energetic feeling. Maybe that’s what made teaching so meaningful for me — and gradually, it became a big part of my life. When I see my students becoming more motivated, asking questions, or when I see the sparkle of satisfaction in their eyes after learning something new, I feel confident that I’m on the right path. I try to create a friendly, respectful, and motivating classroom environment, where everyone — regardless of their level — feels safe and confident. For me, teaching is not just about transferring knowledge; it’s a journey we take together to grow.

Teaching Method

In my English teaching, I adopt a goal-oriented and interactive approach that is tailored to the learners’ needs, levels, and learning styles. I make use of reliable and internationally recognized resources such as English File for teaching the four main language skills, Oxford Word Skills for vocabulary development, English Collocations in Use to improve fluency in speaking and writing, and English Grammar in Use for clear and practical grammar instruction. Throughout the learning process, I strive to create a safe and motivating environment where students feel confident and actively engaged. My classes are based on the Communicative Approach, with a strong emphasis on enhancing speaking skills through discussions, language games, and real-life situations. I also provide continuous feedback, set personalized goals for learners, and design a variety of exercises to monitor their progress in a clear and gradual way. My goal is not only to help learners acquire English, but to ensure that they experience it with enthusiasm, confidence, and a true sense of achievement.
