About Me

Hello! I'm Maryam, and I've had a deep passion for math since elementary school. I was so into it that I would always ask my family to teach me lessons we hadn't covered in class yet, and I would read ahead from the textbook on my own! The summer before high school, I discovered the math Olympiad and started researching its books and reading them. At first, I thought I could study them on my own and become great at it! But eventually, I decided to join my school's Olympiad classes and focus on math instead of regular school subjects. Throughout this journey, my love for math grew even stronger, which led me to choose mathematics as my major in university. During my Olympiad studies, I realized how crucial teaching methods are and how much they impact success. This awareness inspired me to start teaching after finishing high school. I really enjoy connecting with students and get so much energy from them that even after hours of teaching, I don’t feel tired. At the same time, seeing them grasp math concepts more easily with my help gives me a great sense of fulfillment. This positive feeling has kept me passionate about teaching all these years! 😊

Teaching Method

I believe that teaching is, in a way, a math problem itself! You need to understand the student and, based on their abilities, needs, and expectations, choose the most optimal method to deliver the material. I always try to create a personalized learning path for each student. My classes are mostly interactive, and in online sessions, I give students access to write on the board so we can think through problems together and I can understand their thought process. Additionally, I prepare plenty of examples for each topic because I believe that learning isn’t complete until students see how a concept is applied in problems. Without that, the topic won’t fully stick in their minds.
