About Me

My name is Mehraveh, and I was born in 1994. I started playing music when I was six years old. The first time I placed my little fingers on the piano keys, I thought to myself that I could tell a thousand different stories with these sounds. A thousand stories that emerge from within oneself, like the buds of a tree. Over the years, I explored every corner of music – instruments and vocals, classical to rock. My younger years were filled with piano and violin lessons, the becoming my main squeeze for a while. But singing always held a special place in my heart. From belting out pop tunes as a teen to discovering a love for classical singing later on, I'm now using everything I've learned to create my own music. Singing lessons, alongside singing and writing, was my dream job. The years I have been able to work with different beautiful voices have given me so much valuable experience that cannot be compared to anything in the world, and I am grateful for that.

Teaching Method

The teaching approach in this class is tailored to each student’s level, goals, and even personality. Every student’s vocal lessons can be quite different, but the ultimate goal is to understand our own voice and develop it further. In general, classes usually begin with topics related to vocal anatomy and vocal health, presented in a way that is appropriate for the student’s age and level. The teaching method may vary depending on the student’s goals, age, and individual circumstances. The class generally draws on techniques and approaches from Bel Canto, CVT, SLS, and EVT. Most of the class time is dedicated to developing vocal technique and applying it to songs. Depending on the content of the sessions, we may also explore music theory, poetry interpretation, improvisation, songwriting, and the history of contemporary music. There is no need to purchase any books, as most exercises and other learning materials will be prepared by me and provided to you directly.

• M.A. in English Literature • Singer and songwriter with the rock band Untilfeb • Teaching pop singing and solfège both online and in person at music institutes such as Chekad, Parsia, and Haft Honar since 2019 • Completed vocal pedagogy training with Mohammad Salman and solfège pedagogy training with Morteza Shirkouhi • Studied piano, classical violin, electric guitar, and solfège with instructors including Arslan Kamkar, Farzad Fakhraddini, Yasin Keshavarz, Roxana Reyhanian, and others • Studied vocal performance with instructors including Shiva Soroush, Reyhaneh Tavassolifar, Shakeh Aghamal, Yanya Kanapich, and others • Extensive stage and studio experience, including numerous performances and festival appearances as a soprano vocalist with the Tonal Choir, conducted by Milad Omranlou, and the Avaye Mahan Choir, conducted by Nima Fatehi • Soprano vocalist in choir recordings of works including “Ghamnameh-ye Parsi” by Ali Rahbari, “Hejraani” by Arash Teymouri, and “Hamishe Lahze-ye Baran” by Behnam Abolghasem • Performed as a musician and vocalist in independent venues with rock and jazz groups such as Dissonance, East Quartet, and others • Independent vocalist in various recording projects, including the short film “Lena,” composed by Erfan Moghaddam, as well as the “Eshgh Pزkhaneh” project as a singer and songwriter • Worked as a vocal coach for vocal ensembles, including the Manook Ensemble
