About Me
I started learning the piano when I was about 7 years old and since then it has become an important and inseparable part of my life. Music can connect people with different languages, cultures and beliefs and it has no boundaries. I notice how my taste in music has changed in different stages of my life and I can see how the journey never stops. additionally, teaching has allowed me to share my experience with others and it truly makes me happy when I see my students improve. To become a better performer, I have followed this path in the academy and have successfully received a bachelor's in music from the University of Tehran and a master's in piano performance from the University of Alberta. Besides my academic achievements, I have attended many masterclasses with different piano professors worldwide and have performed in many international festivals and competitions both as a soloist and accompanist.
Teaching Method
Since 2020 I have been teaching online students as well as in-person lessons. I teach all ages and I encourage my students to learn the basics of music theory and read the notes. For the basics, I usually start with the Piano Adventures series which has different books for all ages. Furthermore, I always ask my students what their goal is for learning the piano and help them achieve that goal whether it is taking part in the exams such as RCM or learning some popular tunes that they like. I have a different plan for each class and it can change according to the student's needs. No matter what genre you like, we will work on technique and how to have a good posture while playing the instrument.
