About Me
Hello, my name is Shirin. I hold a master’s degree in French Language Teaching from Tarbiat Modares University and am currently pursuing a PhD in Language Sciences at Paul Valéry University Montpellier 3 in France. I have around five years of specialized experience teaching French to children and teenagers, as well as experience teaching adults. My particular passion for working with young learners has led me to place great importance on understanding their needs, interests, and individual learning styles. Through stories, films, cartoons, and creative activities tailored to each learner’s age and language level, I aim to make French more than just a school subject. I want to help learners see it as a tool for communication, expressing their feelings, and discovering a new world. I believe it is essential to create a warm and supportive learning environment where learners feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and progressing with confidence. Alongside my teaching experience, my academic studies and research in language sciences and language education have given me a deeper understanding of the language-learning process. They also help me apply effective teaching methods tailored to each learner’s needs. I would be delighted to accompany you or your child on this language-learning journey.
Teaching Method
Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with a diverse range of learners, from children and teenagers to adults. I believe that every learner needs a different teaching approach tailored to their age, interests, and learning style. In my classes, I use a variety of up-to-date French textbooks, including Édito, Adomania, Passe-passe, and Bonne Nouvelle. However, I believe that language learning goes far beyond textbooks and grammar exercises! Through podcasts, stories, and cartoons, I strive to create an engaging learning environment where students not only learn French but also enjoy the learning process and gain the confidence to use what they have learned in real-life situations.
