About Me

I am Siavash Hashemi, a FIDE Trainer (international chess coach) and a Level 1 coach certified by the Chess Federation. I began playing chess at the age of 9 with immense passion. From age 13, I competed professionally in tournaments, and over 20 years of professional play, I have earned numerous titles in both school and university competitions as well as open tournaments. At 21, driven by my love for teaching and sharing my experiences, I started coaching chess, and now I have about 20 years of experience training many national champions. My peak international rating is 2155. Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, all my professional teaching activities have been conducted online. Chess, as a vital tool and need for children and teenagers, can have profound effects on their thinking and personal development. My main goal is to expand this beneficial discipline and provide proper chess education to all enthusiasts.

Teaching Method

My teaching method follows clearly defined lesson plans based on years of experience and aligned with international standards. For all levels, from beginner to championship, topics and exercises for each session are organized and specified. When teaching children, the tone and methods are more flexible and age-appropriate, while for teenagers and adults, the approach and pace are clearly structured. Session-by-session assignments are compiled from various important books and provided to the student. If additional practice is needed, suitable books are also recommended. To further enhance progress, participation in regular weekly online tournaments on the reputable international site Lichess is also incorporated.
