Tabassom Madayen

About Me

I’m Tabassom. I recently completed my Master’s degree in Astronomy and Astrophysics at Western University in Canada. I also hold a Bachelor’s degree in the same field from the University of Toronto. During my Master’s studies, I researched unusual, massive, and extremely large stars, and I even discovered a low-mass star that turned out to be a white dwarf! I studied a lot of mathematics and physics at university, and I genuinely enjoy teaching what I know. I had some not-so-great math teachers in school, which made me appreciate the importance of effective teaching methods even more as I grew older. I would be happy to teach you mathematics with patience, care, and kindness.

Teaching Method

First, we’ll discuss what textbook, notes, or primary course materials you’re using and identify exactly what kind of support you need. Then, we’ll create a study plan tailored to your needs and goals—whether that means doing more practice exercises, reviewing the material, or anything else that will help you make progress toward your goal.

Experience

• 3 years of experience teaching mathematics and calculus to Grade 1-12 students • 6 months of volunteer teaching experience with Afghan girls who had been deprived of access to education • Teaching Assistant for Differential Equations • Teaching Assistant for Physics I & II • Teaching Assistant for Calculus I & II
