About Me

I’m Yasamin Ahmadieh, passionate about learning and teaching. Years ago, I began my volunteer work in Tehran with the “Uncle Tailor” group, and that’s where I realized how education can truly change lives. I now live in Canada, but my heart still beats for literacy, especially for teaching the Persian language. I’m deeply interested in implementing non-traditional teaching models — approaches that replace rote memorization with play, movement, imagery, and storytelling, turning learning into a natural and lasting experience. For me, what matters most is that what the student learns stays in their mind effortlessly, with minimal need for repetition. A class, to me, is not just about teaching words — it’s a joyful adventure filled with color, sound, and imagination, where every small act of “reading aloud” is a great victory.

Teaching Method

I use the workbook “The Art of Reading and Writing in the Service of Social Justice”, which is designed based on play and symbolization. In my online classes, I turn learning sounds and letters into a lively game using color, imagery, movement, and active repetition, engaging the student’s ears, eyes, and hands at the same time to help them progress faster.
