About Me
Hello, I’m Sina Maleki. Ever since I was ten, the world of computers has felt like an endless toy to me; back then, I started by building websites and playing around with code. A few years later, when I turned sixteen, I became deeply fascinated by artificial intelligence, and that interest changed the course of my life. I entered university, studied a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, and from that point on, I pursued programming in the field of AI more seriously. My passion wasn’t just about learning; I always wanted to understand how we could give computers the ability to “understand.” This curiosity led me all the way to Germany, and I’m now a Master’s student in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Bonn. The field that feels like the most exciting adventure to me is multimodal models, systems that can understand and generate text, images, audio, and even video at the same time. Models like ChatGPT for text, Sora for video and image generation, and Suno for music creation all fall into this category. I’ve always wanted others to experience the joy of creating a “new being” with just a few lines of seemingly meaningless Python code. Artificial intelligence isn’t just a field of study, it’s a world of creativity and exploration.
Teaching Method
My teaching style is generally project-based, unless the student wants to dive into the theoretical and mathematical foundations of artificial intelligence. We begin with the basics of Python or Java, and after each session there is a small assignment. At the end of every module, we complete a real-world project that can be included in your résumé. For Python and data analysis, I use my own notes along with "Python Data Science Handbook" by Jake VanderPlas. For AI and machine learning topics, I rely on the course notes from Stanford’s CS229 and CS230, as well as the "Deep Learning" book by Ian Goodfellow.
