About Me
For me, mathematics is a tool for understanding the world and people. Through teaching math, I connect with others; in fact, it becomes a structured and logical dialogue that ultimately helps us broaden and enrich our understanding of the world. That is why working with students has always been both exciting and inspiring for me. Engaging again and again with elementary and high school mathematical concepts has often reshaped and deepened my own perspective on what I thought I already knew. For this reason, I have always been — and still am — grateful to my students. In line with this view, I consider mathematical modeling—used to describe natural and human phenomena—to be of exceptional importance. For years, I have been striving to connect my academic research in mathematics with everyday teaching, so that I can offer my students a more comprehensive understanding of both mathematics and the world. Within this framework, three subjects stand out as particularly engaging and significant for me: calculus, linear algebra, and probability & statistics. I actively dedicate myself to teaching these areas and continuously seek out new ways to present these concepts more clearly and effectively to students.
Teaching Method
I firmly believe that a teacher's deep understanding of their students is the cornerstone of effective learning. Each individual possesses a unique treasure trove of abilities and talents. The teacher's role lies in uncovering these hidden gems and utilizing them to facilitate the learning process. A one-size-fits-all approach to teaching is often ineffective. Instead, I tailor my instruction to each student's unique needs and background, employing a variety of strategies to engage and empower them. My classroom sessions are designed to be interactive and discussion-oriented, fostering a collaborative learning environment. I strive to avoid lengthy monologues, instead, encouraging students to actively engage in problem-solving and concept exploration.
