About Me
My name is Pegah Sharifi. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from K. N. Toosi University of Technology and a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics (with a focus on Cryptography and Coding Theory) from Amirkabir University of Technology. In elementary school, math was the most difficult subject for me. But everything completely changed when I had a great math teacher in middle school. That experience sparked my interest in mathematics, and from that time on, I started helping my classmates with the subject. Eventually, I chose the Math and Physics track in high school, and I was fortunate once again to have amazing teachers who deepened my passion. This growing interest led me to study math at university. I can honestly say that I owe this lasting enthusiasm to the excellent teaching of my math teachers who changed the way I saw the subject. I see mathematics as the language we use to connect with nature—it allows us to model and solve real-world problems. All engineering disciplines are built upon these models. That’s why it’s essential to learn the fundamental sciences, like math, thoroughly. My goal is to help students enjoy learning math and truly understand it. I believe that when students learn a subject well, they naturally start to enjoy it. That’s what I strive for: to help spark that interest in them. Learning math takes patience and practice—but once you understand it, it brings so much joy and stays with you forever. So, let’s get started!
Teaching Method
My teaching is divided into two parts: the first part focuses on explaining concepts along with solved examples, and the second part is dedicated to practice exercises to reinforce those concepts. I believe practice is extremely important in mathematics, as it’s through repeated practice that creativity begins to emerge. Of course, understanding the concepts comes first—because when students can visualize mathematical data, definitions, and ideas in their minds, they’re better able to solve problems and actually enjoy doing it. I prepare my lessons in advance based on each student's needs and their school materials, so there’s no confusion. During the class, I teach in an interactive and personalized way to make the learning process more effective.
