About Me

Greetings! My name is Hanieh, and I hold a Master's degree in Medical Immunology from Tarbiat Modares University. From a young age, I was captivated by the wonders of nature, always filled with curiosity about the plants, animals, and the world around me. This fascination led me to pursue a path in science, choosing science as my focus in high school and later earning a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology and a Master's degree in Medical Immunology. For the past six years, I've had the privilege of teaching science in English to English-speaking students at international schools in Tehran, both online and in-person. Each moment in the classroom is a source of joy for me, and time seems to melt away as I engage my students in the wonders of science. My teaching philosophy revolves around active learning, ensuring that students grasp concepts rather than simply memorize facts. I utilize captivating PowerPoint presentations, engaging videos, and catchy songs to bring scientific concepts to life, creating a memorable and enjoyable learning experience for my students. I believe that science is inherently beautiful and offers a vast array of fascinating subfields, including biology and chemistry. My passion for these subjects, coupled with my expertise gained through my academic journey, allows me to deliver engaging and effective science instruction.

Teaching Method

My science classes follow the curriculum guidelines of each respective school. Before each session, I prepare the corresponding PowerPoint presentation, videos, and songs, and share my computer screen during the class. However, the teaching methods and textbooks used in the classes vary depending on the individual student, considering their age and background knowledge. For younger students, I incorporate painting and craft activities into the lesson plan to make the class more engaging and reinforce learning. Additionally, I extensively utilize images and videos in biology and chemistry classes to enable students to visualize concepts and grasp them thoroughly. Rote memorization is not emphasized in my classes; I strive for deep understanding and meaningful learning.
