Nazanin Alavi

About Me

My name's Nazanin Alavi. Ever since I was a kid, I've been hooked on the piano. I started learning back then, and let me tell you, it wasn't always easy. There were bumps along the road, but they only made me want to learn more. My love for literature and other arts like painting, calligraphy, and even yoga all seeped into my approach to music. I was more interested in discovering myself, and teaching has been one of the most beautiful experiences on this journey for me because I always feel like a student of music, and I learn alongside my students.

Teaching Method

My teaching approach is tailored to each student, based on their potential and interests. However, the foundation is classical music education, which nurtures the student's intellectual foundation, technique, and expressive abilities. As their musical thinking develops, they will be able to explore other genres. I employ internationally recognized methods such as Nikolaev, Suzuki, and the standard international curriculum in my teaching.

Experience

I hold a Master's degree from the University of Art and Architecture in Tehran. I have approximately 12 years of experience teaching piano and various music-related subjects, including music theory, solfège, music history, and more. I have taught both in-person and online classes, both before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. My teaching experience includes working at the Isfahan University of Art Music Conservatory and my own private academy.
